How To Use This Site And Post Sensibly On The Comment Board.

First of all, this site is for use by the pupils and for them to edit it and make it the most useful site possible. Although this means that you are free to do what you will with it, it also means that you have a responsibility to be sensible with it or risk your changes/additions being removed or, even worse, having your editing priveliges removed. To avoid this happening, and keep this site usable and happy, then I must ask you to only edit it where appropriate, relevant and sensible, keeping it useful for everyone that would use this site.
Another problem could be that people create pages willy nilly for the fun of it. Make sure they are sensible. Here are the guidelines:
1. Make sure that the page has a clear purpose that is appropriate and useful.
2. Make sure it fulfils the purpose it says it will
3. Follow all other guidelines from the site.
4. NO EXPLICIT DISCUSSION AT ALL.
I can also see that alot of you appear to be not very used to using forums and (more relevantly) comment boards, so you will not know that they all have a general set of rules:
1. Keep it short and to the point, sticking to the topic.
2. Don't double post. Keep it all in one post, wait for another poster or (where possible) edit your previous one.
3. Keepyour language english with as few abbreviations as possible. Things like lol, ftw and fyi are fine, but no shortening single words.
4.Don't "flame" others. If they do something wrong, then politely tell them how to do it right.
5. If you suggest changes then also pose a good reason, otherwise the editors are unlikely to justify your suggestion and change anything you have done and/or ignore you altogether.
6. NO EXPLICIT DISCUSSION.
If you follow this then everyone is happy.
BAD POST: "OMG U STOOPID PERSON FR DOIN DAT!" THis is clearly bad as it flames another member; abbreviates words making it hard to understand and doesn't give any relevant information at all (like what the person did wrong and how they could fix it). Overall, it is totally impolite.
GOOD POST: " Please don't double post. It is pointless and wastes the space on the pages. Going back to the correct topic, I think -INSERT ITEM HERE- should be changed because -INSERT REASON HERE-" THis is a good post because it puts forward the problem and justifies the complaint. It is overall more polite. It also gets back to the correct topic, which all posts should have something to with.
Remmber, if you follow these then this site will work better.
This was made by Kibble_Cat (who will keep a copy of these so it is impossible to edit them. They will be changed back). The rules should be ideally left as they are unless Mr. Maddison or Nexus wish to change them.

I have added some guidelines for creating pages and I put more rules for posting on the comment board.
You don't have permission to comment on this page.
